Еhe Skolkovo Foundation and Fondation MoveoTec, from the French national automotive R&D Cluster Moveo, have launched a new long term partnership for the development of innovative car sharing and communication systems, smart intermodal mobility spaces and new generation electric vehicle charging stations.
The Skolkovo Foundation, represented by its Energy Efficiency Cluster, and MoveoTec, have signed a memorandum of understanding supporting the development of a knowledge based and postcarbon economy in the Russian and French contexts.
The Skolkovo Foundation and MoveoTec will engage into collaborative research and cooperate on e-mobility developments in the Greater Moscow (Skolkovo) and the Greater Paris metropolitan areas (Plateau de Saclay).
They will develop advanced solutions for electric and smart vehicle operation and intelligent intermodal hubs, gathering talented and motivated researchers from French and Russian side to attract corporate partners such as Grid operators, utilities and SMEs working on transport related cleantech solutions.
MoveoTec gathers French world champions in a new integrated approach of automotive industry such as Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën , Valeo and planning and mobility engineering group AREP.
The Skolkovo Foundation confirms its intention to grant financial support to a future joint Center of Competence on future electric vehicles with MoveoTec based in Skolkovo, as part of the Skolkovo innovative research programme with clear practical outcomes.
