Technology Benefits : production of foamed ceramic materials with thickness up to 200 mm with closed finely porous structure inside the material
Technology Applications : The invention relates to the porous silicate foam production, namely ceramic foams which may be used in the construction, medical and electronic industries.
Detailed Technology Description: method of manufacture of ceramic cellular materials includes slurry preparation with introduction of a silicon carbide , some dehydration with subsequent formation of tiles, drying of the tiles, speed firing, sintering of tiles to form a single ceramic slab, heating of the slab prior to completion of the foaming process, subsequent cooling of the single foamed slab, its separation into blocks of the preset size, annealing of the blocks.
