Title: Multilayer metallic material with sacrificial pitting protection
Summary: The material may be used in mechanical engineering, oil-and-gas production, chemical industry,metallurgy and other field as a structural material operating in extremely aggressive media.
Technology Benefits: The technology improves operation life of equpment 5-15 times in comparison with stainless steels depending on medium's aggresivity.
It enables to perform low-cost and safe external diagnostics of corrosion processes, including ultrasonic examination.
The technology provides operability at high temperatures (up to 750°С).
It may consist of a minimum of expensive components. The material can be obtained through explosion welding.
Technology Applications: The material may be used in mechanical engineering, oil-and-gas production, chemical industry,metallurgy and other field as a structural material operating in extremely aggressive media.

Herewith, base layers are made of metallic materials featuring a state of passivity over a long period of time with further development of pitting corrosion in them, and internal sacrificial layers, being in contact with aggressive media as corrosion pits penetrate deeply through previous external and internal base layers, are characterized by development of general corrosion and perform a sacrificial function in relation to external and internal base layers. The methods of manufacturing of such materials are suggested.
