Summary: Composite material based on bioresorbable microspheres for x-ray visualization of x-ray transparent polymeric medical implants, in particular stents
Technology Benefits : Separating radioopaqque substance (ROS) from other active components ( f.e. drug coating); Could be blend with main polymeric base or applying as a coating; Allow to choose amount of ROS incorporated in microspheres depending on implant type;
Controlled incorporation of RO composition into implant depending on required radiopacity; Allow to create uniform coating with different thickness

Technology Applications: Obtaining polymeric implants with full-body radiopacity without changes in design or properties of already-existing product
Detailed Technology Description: BIOSTEN lab has developed a portfolio of nanoparticle-based biresorbable polymeric material with high radiodensity. Suggested composition provide (or increase) radiopacity of X-Ray transparent polymeric implants. Innovation has a suite of granted and pending patent for radiopaque composition and the methods of it producing. The portfolio is available to license or for partnering through co-development with the Biosten.
