The project team "Sphere MD" was set up especially for participation in Skolkovo M.D. contest. Team "Sphere MD" formed a group of like-minded and relies on leading experts and authorities in various specialized medical fields, which have worked together on several projects in telemedicine and IT. Also, the company contracted to work "Makset Line" (resident of "Skolkovo") - a software developer and solutions based on the cloud computing. Our ongoing development to create solutions for cardiodiagnosis largely corresponds to the position selection, and in line with this, we consider it appropriate to continue this activity is within the proposed concept, which will create a shorter period of time a new commercial demand product.

Mobile diagnostic device "Sphere MD" is provided under the M.D. concept. The said device is designed for diagnosing diseases, monitoring a patient’s vital signs, express diagnostics in emergencies, and distant management of patients with chronic diseases (Virtual Hospital). It involves home use of in-hospital diagnostic methods with logging its results through different interfaces, allowing to process cardiological, endocrinological, therapeutical data separately. The device allows passing measured data into distributed data base with the use wired and wireless access networks interfaces. Simultaneously, it conducts primary health state diagnosis (evaluation of threshold limits). A patient independently makes needed health tests with the use of a required sensor. Upon completing this process all medical data is transferred to the cloud storage for further processing, analysis, archiving, and providing information for all parties concerned (patients, their relatives, doctors). Providing software as a service allows to integrate and analyze all medical data and prescriptions, compare them to existing medical history (cloud storage contains health tests results and medical records of all patients, ensuring their confidentiality), and to get a multilateral medical video consultations between patients and doctor. Herewith, it’s possible to create a set of characteristics, signs and symptoms that corresponds to particular course of treatment, which is appropriate to present condition of a patient. The software analyzes measured data, patients’ individual differences, categories of diseases. It allows to combine this information with the results of analysis in previous cases and Clinical guidelines.

The proposed solution "Sphere MD", meeting the contest requirements, is based on a prototype of a hand-held multi-interface (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM/GPRS, acoustic) device and a Web-portal for it. The device, that is being developed by RTG, enables patients: • to conduct at-home diagnostics of diseases of the heart-vessel system and noninfectious diseases; • to get a multilateral medical video consultation with the support of distributed databases; • to use in-hospital diagnostic methods with logging its results through different interfaces, allowing to process cardiological, endocrinological, therapeutical data separately.
