30 March 2012 - A delegation from the Skolkovo Foundation led by Foundation President Viktor Vekselberg visited the Silicon Valley.
The visit demonstrated the United States' interest in developing cooperation with Russia in innovation.

The Skolkovo Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Russia's largest oil companies, announced a contest of innovative projects for the oil and gas sector
From March 10-11 in Cambridge, UK, the Skolkovo Foundation held the First International Forum of Russian Specialists in the Field of Science and Technology. At the conference about 100 experts from more than 25 countries discussed the possibilities of developing science in Russia.
The Skolkovo School Conference (Shkolkovo) was held. From September-December 2011, the Skolkovo Foundation, supported by Microsoft and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, held a competition to create concepts for the design of the "Skolkovo School." A total of 202 applications were submitted from 47 regions of Russia and 5 countries. The finalists included 26 concepts, of which one was chosen as the winner of the competition and 12 were recognized with honors
On February 27, 2012, the Skolkovo Foundation, in partnership with Microsoft, held the "Skolkovo School" conference.
«"The development of centers of innovation and entrepreneurship in universities."
The Skolkovo Foundation, in conjunction with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (SkolokovoTech) and the Association of Russian entrepreneurial universities, and with the support of the Russian Venture Company and SAP conducted a two-day conference on "The development of centers for entrepreneurship and innovation in universities." The conference program brings together the expertise for creating, managing and funding centers for entrepreneurship and innovation in the world’s leading technical universities. The conference aims to create favorable conditions for partnerships between Russian and foreign universities in creating joint centers and programs on entrepreneurship and innovation.
The 11th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum. The forum involved the leaders responsible for the implementation of the modernization of federal programs, representatives of development institutions and public corporations in charge of implementing innovative projects, leading experts, scientists and businessmen. Forum participants discussed the strategic initiatives that will determine the socio-economic development of Russia and its regions in the next electoral and investment cycles.
From February 13-15, 2012 a road show of the Skolkovo Foundation was held in the United Kingdom, presenting the capabilities of the Russian innovation center for the British and international academic and investment communities. The visit by the foundation’s delegation was carried out in accordance with Russian-British agreements reached at the highest levels in September 2011.
Design competition for projects on the electric grid. The Skolkovo Foundation, FGC UES, IDGC Holding, and RusHydro announced the start of a competition for research aimed at improving the energy efficiency of primary and secondary processes in the power grid sector.
